A BlogHer conference goer said that a blog hole should really suck people into the blogosphere, not out of it. True. But then it would be no threat to netizens, and not as interesting a plot device. So the name "blog hole" still refers to anomalies that threaten the Web as we know it. A life offline has become unthinkable -- and horrific -- to well-off residents of Planet Earth in one short decade.
If any Stephen Hawkings out there with any theories as to what could cause blog holes, I'd be happy to hear them. For Horst's introduction to them, look here.
