A lot was left on the cutting room floor for this cartoon. Working in the romance comics genre forced me to be brutally concise. It was an interesting experiment -- I used a brush instead of my usual crowquill pen and the Wacom tablet for the lettering (I don't believe in using computer fonts for comics). Grappling with relatively unfamiliar tools made this take a lot longer than usual. I'm eager to get back to my standard methods.
For Peter MacKay's last appearance, check out his heart-rending breakup with Belinda Stronach here. So far, in the wonderful world of Weltschmerz, Canada's foreign affairs bachelor has only appeared in romance comics. For visual reference, this site, which reproduces romance comics from the golden age, was invaluable.
